Werner Park

The new Werner Park in Papillion is the Omaha Storm Chasers’ home ballpark, opened in 2011. It replaced Rosenblatt Stadium, which had been the team’s only home for nearly 30 years.

It’s a great place to watch baseball. It’s a little bit of a drive from downtown Omaha but worth the trip. You’ll be glad you read this!

Unlike its predecessor, Rosenblatt Stadium, Werner Park is much more modern and intimate. It can hold just 39% of its former capacity, but the new ballpark has plenty of room to stretch out and take in the action.

The venue features several different kinds of seats, including the Jack Daniel’s Club and the Hospitality Tents. Fans can also enjoy grass berm seating in the outfield or rent a luxury suite to watch the game from higher up on the field.

Food & Drink Options at Werner Park

Fans can enjoy a wide variety of food and drink options at Werner Park. While it’s not as extensive as some of the other local sports venues, the selection is still solid.

It also boasts some excellent deals. On Thirsty Thursdays, you can get $2 Bud, Bud Light and Busch Light drinks at the Bud Light Downdraft Bar before games.

If you’re craving some grub, Famous Dave’s BBQ is right across the street from the stadium. They have some indescribably delicious BBQ for an affordable price.

The Storm Front Team Store and Royal Treasures are also open for select games. They are located on the first base side of the ballpark.

The Omaha Storm Chasers and Werner Park Management reserve the right to eject any fan who violates the code of conduct. The code of conduct prohibits the use of alcohol, illegal drugs and artificial noise makers at Werner Park. It also includes no smoking. Explore more!

Special Events at Werner Park

Werner Park is a unique outdoor venue that is home to the Omaha Storm Chasers, a Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. Built in 2011, the stadium offers 6,434 permanent seats, 15 private suites, three Hospitality Tents, the Prairie Flower Casino Club with an indoor bar, Boardroom Space and grass berm seating for approximately 3,000.

In addition to the ballpark, Werner Park also offers extraordinary indoor and outdoor venues for a variety of special events such as: corporate functions, off-site meetings, charity walks/runs, concerts, birthday parties and weddings throughout the year.

Werner Park also offers a number of concession stands to purchase food and drink for the game including hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, soft drinks, domestic beer and more. There is also a dedicated gluten-free stand.

Parking at Werner Park

The stadium has multiple parking lots near the ballpark. There are paid and season-pass lots, and also two free lots. Tailgating is allowed in all of the parking lots.

The park sits on a suburban site in Papillion, a city southwest of Omaha. It is part of a larger development called Pennant Place.

This area is still very rural, but there are plans for hotels, restaurants and other amenities to be built. The ballpark looks out upon a lot of farmland and cornfields.

A statue of Hall of Famer Bob Gibson greets fans as they walk through the gate behind home plate. Wide concourses are another nice touch.
